OVERVIEW

Bad Boss is a workplace documentation tool. It helps users organize notes, timelines, attachments, and reports about their own workplace experiences.

This Privacy Policy describes the information Bad Boss App ("Bad Boss," "we," "us," or "our") may collect, how we use it, and the choices available to users. This policy is designed to be read by users and app reviewers before installing or using the app.

DATA WE COLLECT

The exact information processed by the app depends on the features you use.

ACCOUNT DATA

Name, email address, sign-in identifiers, subscription status, and account settings when you create or manage an account.

USER CONTENT

Workplace notes, dates, categories, attachments, exported reports, and other content you choose to enter into the app.

SUPPORT DATA

Your email address, support topic, message text, app version, device details, and troubleshooting information you send to us.

DEVICE DATA

Basic technical information such as device type, operating system, app version, crash reports, diagnostics, and approximate region when needed to operate or improve the app.

PURCHASE DATA

Subscription or purchase status received from Apple or other app stores. We do not receive your full payment card number from Apple.

HOW WE USE DATA

  • Provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Bad Boss app.
  • Create and manage accounts, subscriptions, backups, exports, and support requests.
  • Diagnose crashes, bugs, syncing issues, or failed report exports.
  • Respond to questions, investigate abuse, and enforce our Terms of Service.
  • Comply with legal obligations and app marketplace requirements.

Bad Boss does not sell your personal information. We do not use your private workplace notes for advertising.

SHARING

We share information only when needed to operate the app, comply with law, or protect users and the service. This may include cloud hosting, analytics, crash reporting, customer support tools, payment status from app stores, legal compliance, or business transfers such as a merger or acquisition.

We do not ask support users to send complete workplace documents, legal IDs, passwords, or sensitive evidence unless it is necessary for a specific request and you choose to provide it.

YOUR CHOICES

  • You can choose what workplace information you enter into Bad Boss.
  • You can request access, correction, export, or deletion of account information by contacting support@badbossapp.com.
  • You can delete local app content from your device by using app features or removing the app, though cloud backups or support records may require a separate deletion request.
  • You can manage Apple subscriptions in your Apple ID subscription settings.
  • You can disable certain device permissions, such as photo or file access, in your device settings. Some features may stop working if permissions are disabled.

SECURITY & RETENTION

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No app, device, network, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the app, support users, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it where practical.

CHILDREN

Bad Boss is intended for users who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where required.
